Sailor Venus

Aino Minako is a beautiful girl with long blond hair, introduced in Act 8. She is an optimist, a person who is always ready to fight for love and justice with a smile on her face. Minako, also often called Mina, likes playing games, doing sports, eating and chasing after idols. She usually has a crush on idols.

Minako lives with her Mother and Father and her white guardian cat Artemis. Her favourite colours are red and yellow, she was born on October 22.

Minako attends the Shibakouen Junior High School, and she is also much like Usagi. They do not only look like twins, they can also be mental twins.

Aino Minako is the first Sailor Soldier - the pretty soldier of love and justice, Sailor V. Minako became Sailor V with the help of her guardian cat named Artemis. As Sailor V, Minako's mission was simply to fight villains, robbers, and gangsters. In the end of the Codename Sailor V manga, we learn that Minako has to leave England, thus moving to Japan to fulfill her new mission, becoming Sailor Venus, joining the Sailor Team and leaving Sailor V in her past. She later introduces herself to Princess Serenity as the leader of the four protectors of the Moon Princess.

Sailor Venus is very dedicated to her mission to protect the Princess, and in the beginning of Sailor Moon, she told Moon, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter that she is the Princess. Minako had to lie, so that she could train (and protect) Sailor Moon.

Later in the story line, Galaxia brainwashes the Sailor Soldiers excepting Sailor Moon. The leader of the Senshi eventually manages to defeat them and bring them back to their normal selves. As Evil Sailor Venus, Minako receives three new attacks.

Powers Venus Power! Make Up! - Minako's first transformation phrase. First used in Act 10, Volume 3.
Rolling Heart Vibration! - Sailor Venus sends energy-charged hearts agains her enemies. First used in Act 11, Volume 3.
Venus Love-Me Chain - Later in Act 11, Sailor Venus uses her second attack. She hols her Chain and uses it as a weapon.
Venus Star Power! Make Up! - Minako's second transformation phrase, seen for first time in Act 16, Volume 4.
Venus Planet Power! Make Up! - Minako's third transformation phrase, seen for first time in Act 24, Volume 7.
Venus Wink Chain Sword! - Sailor Venus uses her Chain to attack the enemy.
Venus Crystal Power! Make Up! - Minako's last transformation phrase, seen for first time in Act 39, Volume 14.
Venus Love & Beauty Shock! - Sailor Venus attacks the enemy, again, with her Chain.
Venus Love and Galactica Shock! - One of Evil Sailor Venus' attacks, first seen in Act 50.
Galactica Gale! - One of Evil Sailor Venus attacks, first seen in Act 50.
