Tsukino Family

Tsukino Ikuko, Usagi and Shingo's mother and Tsukino Kenji's wife, is introduced in Act 1, Volume 1. She is a housewife and enjoys housewife activities such as cooking, cleaning, etc. Her hobbies include photography, and she keeps photos of her siblings. Ikuko is totally dedicated to taking care of her family members and Luna, and later in the story line is brainwashed by Chibi-Usa who makes the woman think that the pink-haired child is Usagi's little sister. Although Ikuko is rather strict towards Usagi when the girl does not do well on her tests, wastes her time reading manga, or does not do her homework and study her lessons, Ikuko is a very good and kind person, and wants the best for her children. The woman's dream is to see her daughters, Usagi and Chibi-Usa, happily married.

Kenji Tsukino, Usagi and Shingo's father and Tsukino Ikuko's husband, is introduced in Act 4, Volume 1. He works as a magazine editor, and Usagi is sometimes seen telling Naru or other people that her father will be taking photographs of a party or a convention that is going to be held. Kenji prefers Umino to Mamoru, and tells Usagi that her classmate is more suitable for her, but he is only wants the best boyfriend for his daughter. Kenji's character is extremely kind, and like Ikuko, he is very dedicated ot his family. Kenji might be a bit too soft-hearted and romantic at times, but he has risked his life in the manga and in the anime, trying to protect his wife and children from a monster.

Shingo is Tsukino Ikuko and Kenji's son and usagi's little 12-year-old brother. Shingo is introduced in Act 1, Volume 1. Shingo loves and cares about her sister, but he is usually seen kicking or/and punching her, and eventually ends up calling her "Baka Usagi." In the beginning of Sailor Moon, Shingo refuses to accept Luna in the house because he has been afraid of cats since when he was very little when a cat scared him. The little boy, however, respects Sailor V and once Usagi as Sailor Moon tells him to stop being rude towards Luna, solving the problem. Shingo adores playing video games and likes spending his time with friends.
