Sailor Venus

Aino Minako is a teen pop idol who is loved by all teenagers. Minako's second album, Venus, was just released in the beginning of PGSM series. Some of her greatest hits include the singles Romance and C'est La Vie. The last song mentioned is a slogan for Sailor V because it is pronounced [ seh - la - vi ], and in French means That Is Life.

Actually, the idol does not lead a carefree life because she is Sailor V, the beautiful Soldier who fights against robbers and gangsters. The warrior is introduced in Act 1, when she confronts Tuxedo Kamen for stealing a jewelry. While the girl thinks the masked man is a robber, he was doing nothing more than searching for the Mystic Silver Crystal.

Later, in Act 9, Sailor V transforms into the "Moon Princess" by removing her mask in front of the four Soldiers. That is a trick Sailor Venus uses to save and protect Usagi, who is the real Princess, until she regains her memory and awakes the Soldier in herself.

In Act 26, Sailor Venus becomes a normal Senshi because the truth is revealed. Princess Serenity uses Sailor Moon's body to heal Tuxedo Kamen thus showing the guardians that Usagi and not Minako is the real Princess.

Until Act 26, Venus is really strict to the Senshi and is often quite cold towards them. That is because she has cancer. Unless she is operated, the idol will die in six months. Therefore, Artemis, her guardian cat, told her not to befriend with people because it will only be for a short period of time.

Later when Venus becomes closer to the four Soldiers, she develops a deep friendship relation with Sailor Mars (Rei). Minako is also responsible for Sailor Mars' awakening in Act 23.

As Sailor Venus, Minako is very powerful. Her beam un-named attack ("Crescent Beam" in the Anime) is not always efficient, but it made Zoicite "die" in the early acts. Venus' Love-Me Chain attack is however strong and the one-time-used-attack, Rolling Heart Vibration, almost kills the youma, making also Queen Metallia leave its body. Venus Love-Me Chain - Venus uses her chain which becomes much longer than the one we see on her waist to attack enemies.
Rolling Hear Vibration - Venus strikes vibrating hearts. This attack is the strongest attack of Sailor Venus' ones and is only used in Act 46.
