Sailor Jupiter

Kino Makoto is a beautiful, tall and boyish girl. She was born on December, 5, her blood type is 0, her astrological sign is Sagittarius. Makoto's favourite colours are pink and green.

Makoto, or Mako-chan as her friends address her, lives alone in her apartment because her parents died in an airplane crash, therefore the girl is afraid of planes. Living a difficult life has taught Makoto to be strong and to never give up. Makoto may seem a bit rude and tomboyish, but indeed, she is not harsh at all. In fact, we learn that she is actually kind and good towards everyone. Mako-chan is a perfect cook.

Makoto is introduced in Act 5. Usagi and Luna are walking to school, when a car is about to hit Usagi. Luna yells, "Look out!!", and it would have been too late if a brunette had not saved her. Later we see Makoto, the girl from before, eating her lunch on a bench. Her food is really cute prepared, thinks Usagi, and Mako-chan says, "It's you again..." Seeing Usagi's impression which says "It's yummy!!" Makoto offers to share her food with the blonde. Thus, the two girls become friends.

Eventually, Makoto realises she has been used and lied to by an youma, and transforms into Sailor Jupiter, the Soldier of Thunder. She uses her attacks Flower Hurricane, and Supreme Thunder, and brings both the monster and Nephrite down. Then Makoto joins the Sailor Team.

Sailor Jupiter is protected by the planet Jupiter, which gives her mighty thunder-type and flower and nature-connected attacks.

Later in the story line, Galaxia brainwashes the Sailor Soldiers excepting Sailor Moon. The leader of the Senshi eventually manages to defeat them and bring them back to their normal selves. As Evil Sailor Jupiter, Rei receives three new attacks.

Powers Jupiter Power! Make Up! - Makoto's first transformation phrase. First seen in Act 5.
Flower Hurricane! - Sailor Jupiter gathers flowers around herself and uses them against the enemy. First seen in Act 5, Volume 2.
Supreme Thunder! - Sailor Jupiter calls upon the powers of thunder and channels it agains enemies. First seen in Act 5, Volume 2.
Jupiter Star Power! Make Up! - Makoto's second transformation phrase. First seen in Act 15, Volume 4.
Sparkling Wide Pressure! - Sailor Jupiter throws electricity-charged energy ball agains enemies. First seen in Ąct 15, Volume 4.
Jupiter Planet Power! Make Up! - Makoto's third transformation phrase. First seen in Act 24, Volume 7.
Coconut Cyclone! - One of Sailor Jupiter's attacks connected with nature. First seen in Act 24, Volume 7.
Jupiter Crystal Power! Make Up! - Makoto's last transformation phrase.
Jupiter Oak Evolution - Sailor Jupiter is surrounded by oak leaves, which are then sent towards the enemy. First seen in Ac 37, Volume 13.
