Friends

Osaka Naru is Usagi's best friend, and is introduced in Act 1, Volume 1. Naru's mother owns a jewelry shop called Osa P, and in Act 1, Jadeite is stealing human energy there. Naru, as you probably have already noticed, does not appear a lot in the manga, although she is rather popular with her classmates. Usagi does admire her.




Sakurada Haruna is Usagi's teacher, who teaches English, and is introduced in Act 1, Volume 1. Miss Haruna is very young and pretty, and she is interested in cosmetics, fitness, fashion, etc. Usagi and her classmates think high of her teacher. They are often amazed of her beauty. Miss Haruna, however, is sometimes seen shouting at Usagi for being late and ordering her to do embarassing things such as staying out of the classroom. The young teacher is also often attacked by monster, but is always eventually saved by Sailor Moon.


Furuhata Motoki works at the Crown Game Center and sometimes at Crown Fruit Parlor. He is introduced in Act 1, Volume 1. Motoki is charming and handsome, and Usagi, Ami, and Makoto have crushes on him in the beginning of Sailor Moon. His younger sister, Unazuki, is also very easy-going and friendly and works at Crown Fruit Parlor. Motoki eventually learns the five Soldiers' true identities but promises to keep them in secret.


Umino Gurio is a classmate of Usagi and Naru, and meets the description of a "nerd." Being very intelligent, but not as much as Ami is, he is often very annoying to Usagi and her friends probably mostly because he always has the answer for every question and knows everything about everyone. Unlike Umino from the anime, he is not as important character. In Act 1, Umino is not satisfied because he got "only" 95 % on his English test because "he did not really try hard."
